It's finally happening, wing-loving friends! Beginning Monday, May 11 we will be re-opening for dine-in service. There are a few ground rules to cover before we dive into a basket of wings and fries together, BUT before you get lost in the details below, please keep in mind this is new for us. What we say today, could change next week. We're learning as we go and hope you'll extend us some grace as we adjust and try our hardest to serve the best wings in Fort Wayne, safely.
Only 50% capacity.
Let's face it, we aren't the "reservations" kind of place, so seats will be first come, first serve. That means due to the 50% restriction, we may not be able to seat you immediately. Our waiting areas are simply not big enough to have guests wait for a table and service our carry out orders all at once. However, we can take your phone number as you wait outside or in your car and we can call you when your sanitized table is ready. Dining at off-peak times is your best bet if you wanna grab a seat.
It's not quite party time.
Following state guidelines we cannot seat parties larger than 6 people. We recommend sending in 1 member of your party to secure a table while the rest wait in your vehicle.
Our staff and our customers need to feel safe while eating with us, along with picking up carry out orders. Our register area is already blocked off with plexiglass walls to help eliminate contact. In addition, we are asking all guests to wear masks while entering and exiting the restaurant. We certainly don't want your mask to get saucy while eating, so you can take it off at your table. Your server will wear a mask and gloves, so nobody needs to feel awkward.
Keeping it clean.
Frequently touched areas of the restaurant will be cleaned often and we will continue to follow our protocols for staff health checks. [Full details of these protocols are available further down the page.]
How about some good news?
To help serve as many customers as possible, we are staying open later! Sunday - Thursday we will seat guests until 8pm and do carry out until 9pm. Friday and Saturday the party lasts a little longer while we seat until 9pm and offer carryout until 10pm.
We hope you are excited as we are for this first step. We’ll have the fryers ready and the draft beer cold … we hope to see you soon!
In compliance with State and Federal agencies the following is the official Safeguard Plan for Buffalo Wings & Ribs.
Upon arriving for their shift employee health screenings will take place. Prior to clocking in every employee will be asked if they have experienced any cough, shortness of breath, fever or if they have been around anyone that is sick. Their temperature will be taken. Only after administering these health checks will an employee be allowed to clock in.
Every employee is being supplied with the CDC guidelines on how to protect yourself and others which includes: proper hand washing, avoiding contact with people who are sick, observing social distancing, covering coughs and sneezes with the inside of your elbow, wearing a face covering and gloves at all times.
All staff will be trained and will execute cleaning protocols. Frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected continuously throughout the day. These surfaces include but are not limited to: tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.
Hand sanitizer will be provided for customers and employees. Hand washing is available for all in the restrooms with touchless antibacterial soap dispensers.
Employees will make every effort to comply with social distancing requirements between themselves and customers, while wearing proper face covering and gloves.
Seating in our dining room will be compliant with 6 foot distance regulations and no more than 50% total capacity. Tables are limited to 6 persons or less.
